Parco’s Quality Management System Achieves ISO/TS 16949:2009 Certification
Ontario, California, November 22, 2017. Parco, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance seals, achieved ISO Technical Specification (TS) 16949:2009 certification of its quality management system. That certification replaces the company’s ISO/TS 16949 certification.
ISO/TS 16949:2009 combines the existing American, German, French, and Italian automotive quality system standards. In December 2006, that standard superseded the American automotive management system standard, QS-9000. The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and the International Organization for Standards (ISO) wrote the specification to eliminate the need for multiple certifications.
Det Norske Veritas Certification, Inc. (DNV) has certified that Parco’s quality management system conforms to ISO/TS 16949:2009. Parco’s quality management system is also certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Parco’s ISO/TS 16949:2009 certification strengthens the company’s automotive qualifications. Parco currently supplies seals for a wide range of automotive applications including engines, transmissions, and steering systems. Leading automotive manufacturers such as Ford, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo rely on Parco for their seals.
