T-seals
Like O-rings, T-seals block the passage of liquids and gases. T-seals are used more commonly than O-rings in dynamic applications to prevent extrusion or spiral failure. An O-ring tends to extrude when used in high pressure and high clearance applications. In reciprocating applications, an O-ring also tends to slide and roll in its groove. This can lead to leaks caused by spiral failure of the O-ring.
Parco makes a full line of T-seals for high-pressure, long-stroke sealing applications. Our T-seals are designed to fit into standard O-ring grooves with nylon or Teflon® back up rings. We can also make non-standard sizes.
