Parco Quality System Certified to AS9000
Ontario, California, May 23, 2003. Parco Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance seals, received certification of its quality system to Aerospace Standard AS9000.
AS 9000 standardizes the quality system requirements for the aerospace industry. AS9000 was adopted by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap). Nadcap has designated Performance Review Institute (PRI) to audit manufacturers for compliance to that standard.
PRI, an affiliate of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), has certified that Parco’s quality system conforms to AS9000. Parco’s quality system has been certified to ISO 9002 and AS7115. Parco’s management system has been certified to QS-9000. Parco has also been certified by PRI to be on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for O-rings supplied to aerospace and defense applications.
Parco’s certification to AS9000 strengthens the company’s aerospace and defense qualifications. Parco currently supplies seals for a wide range of commercial and military applications. For example, Parco seals are used in the Boeing 777, the Joint Strike Fighter, and the Space Shuttle.
