ASQC Z1.4 defines sampling plans by inspection levels and AQLs (Acceptable Quality
Levels, see Quality FAQs). It is equivalent to the former MIL-STD-105.
Parco uses ASQC Z1.4, inspection level II, 2.5 AQL to accept products for surface
quality unless the customer's purchase order and associated documents specify otherwise.

The U.S. Army canceled MIL-STD-105E by issuing Notice 1 in February 1995. That notice
refers readers to ASQC Z1.4-1993. The Army issued Notice 2 in March 2001. That notice
reiterates the cancellation and asks military procurement agencies to consider
MIL-STD-1916 for government contracts.

MIL-STD-1916 defines various methods of demonstrating conformance. It includes
statistical process control and capability analysis as well as sampling at final
inspection. Zero is the acceptance number for all sampling plans.
